Day 2 – tip of the day of how to be happy!

….listen to the dissatisfaction. Within that restless itching for change is a truth. The truth being that you’re not happy in your current way of being. As the dissatisfaction grows, the pressure builds. If we can take heed of this and create a channel for positive change and movement we can transmute the dissatisfaction into progress.

On the other hand, if we don’t take heed of this restless itching it will haunt us and paralyse us, remaining with us always until we can stand it no more and something gives – which can be either positive or negative, again, depending on what we do with it.

Ironically, this dissatisfaction is a friend in disguise, if only we can be brave enough to listen to what it has to say.

I am restless. I am tired of the struggle. I heed the dissatisfaction and embrace positive change. Let the transition be smooth and my patience be great. May I not see the challenges that rise along the way as obstacles and road blocks so much as further opportunities for growth and positive progress.

About annaj

We're all inter-connected and interdependent, so there is not much more for me to say about myself that you don't already know about you. Like all beings, feathered, furred or clothed, I wish to be happy. Around the year 2005, I discovered the Buddhist teachings via a near break-down (when I could no longer live up to my mind-made personal expectations), the kindness of friends, yoga and a book store. For me, from there, there was no looking back. I love the experiential truth that the Buddhist teachings embody. There is nothing there that you cannot experience yourself with a little patience, determination and open-mindedness.
